The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy (MAFWE), within the Agriculture Modernization Project financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), is organizing an international webinar dedicated to the public procurement process, where a significant construction opportunity will be presented – the development of the Logistics and Distribution Center (Agri-Food Platform – AFP) in Skopje. This project represents one of the largest public investments in logistics infrastructure in the Republic of North Macedonia, financed by the World Bank.
The purpose of this session is to present the upcoming public procurement process, explain the main qualification and evaluation requirements, and provide timely insight into how interested companies can effectively participate in the forthcoming tender. By attending, companies will gain a clear understanding of the project scope, expected contractor capacities, bidding procedures, and compliance obligations in accordance with the World Bank’s procurement standards.
This webinar is primarily intended for construction companies, contractors, engineering firms, associations, and consortia with experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, logistics facilities, industrial zones, or the development of agri-food capacities. It will also be useful for consultants, suppliers, and potential partners interested in participating in future phases of the project.
The event aims to promote transparency, inclusiveness, and meaningful collaboration with the international construction market, while ensuring that the procurement process aligns with best practices and market realities. Participants will have the opportunity to become familiar with the technical scope of works, qualification criteria, bidding requirements, and the overall structure of the procurement process.
The webinar will be held virtually on 27 November 2025 at 14:00 Central European Time (CET), via Microsoft Teams. The meeting link and agenda are attached to this invitation.
Please confirm your company’s participation in the webinar by sending an email to procurement@amp.mk no later than 20 November 2025. Along with your confirmation, you are kindly requested to submit the completed questionnaire attached to the invitation. Your responses will assist the Project Management Team in tailoring the procurement process to market realities and will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
We encourage all interested companies and partners to join and actively participate in shaping a competitive and well-informed procurement process.
