The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, with financial support from the World Bank, is preparing the “Zletovica Productivity through Irrigation and Renewable Energy Project” (PIREP), covering Phase II – Irrigation and Phase III – Hydropower of the Zletovica Hydrosystem.
For the purposes of the project, a public call is announced for the engagement of a Local Irrigation Specialist (Civil Engineer), on a full-time basis, during the project preparation period.
The Specialist will be responsible for providing technical and engineering support for the preparation, review, and completion of irrigation infrastructure documentation, ensuring compliance with national legislation, technical regulations, and relevant World Bank standards.
The assignment will include reviewing feasibility studies, hydraulic analyses, detailed designs, technical specifications, bidding documentation, and cost estimates, as well as assessing irrigation systems, pumping stations, pipelines, distribution networks, drainage facilities, and related infrastructure.
The Specialist will also support regulatory compliance and permitting procedures, technical evaluations, environmental and social documentation, site visits, preparation of progress reports, and coordination with relevant institutions, consultants, and the project team.
